Ball valves are a type of quarter-turn valves widely used in various industries due to their simplicity, reliability, and ease of operation. They consist of a spherical body with a rotating ball containing a hole through it. This hole aligns with the flow path when the valve is open, allowing fluid to pass through. When the valve is closed, the ball rotates 90 degrees, blocking the flow path.
